I love kothamalli podi the best of all podi varieties….If we mix this with hot fluffy rice and sesame oil and have one sutta appalam by side….nothing can beat!! I never made this after my marriage,so when my mom visited my place,I noted down the recipe and made. My hubby and me enjoy this a lot,especially when we have rice for dinner.
|Dhaniya (vara kothamalli)||3/4 cup|

- Dry roast Dhaniya till nice aroma rises,it should not be burnt,but roasted evenly till it starts browning.
- Roast red chili,pepper and jeera separately and cool down everything.
- Grind all the roasted items along with salt and add the garlic run the mixer once or twice.
- Store in an air tight container,can use for a month even when kept in the shelf temperature.
