The first time I tried beetroot halwa, it was total disaster, I ended up in making burfi, instead halwa. Then after having that as dessert at my SIL’s place and another friend’s place, when I asked for recipe, they said its same as we do carrot halwa. From then I wanted to try it out and now I got the perfect chance to try it out,for the even I host – Celebrate sweets- with fruits & veggies. Do send in your recipes,if you have any!

And as I said I followed the same recipe as I do carrot halwa. Only thing is I increased the sugar quantity a bit more. Otherwise the same. Unlike carrot halwa, this give more servings. My hubby and kiddo both are not fond of beetroot. That’s what it took so long for me to try this.
Serve hot or chilled – as dessert!
