Gokulashtami is nearing and if you are looking for easy recipe to offer on the day of Gokulashtami, this could be the perfect one. Though this is Gokulashtami special recipe, as a kid, I have eaten this for evening snack too very often. I wish I had made Aj to eat these kind of healthy snacks. Mom makes just by washing the aval (poha/ flattened rice/ beaten rice) and mixing it with powdered jaggery. But I just adapted making simple syrup by dissolving jaggery in water. Adapted slightly from here. I loved the addition of edible camphor in this as it adds a divine smell to the poha and takes to the next level.
