DeleteHello Raji, Did u buy these cups in Giant express or super market? I live in Singapore too. I noticed a doughnut shaped corn kerneler here in a store. Do u have any idea if that is good enough to extract the corn kernels?
ReplyDeleteThanks in advance!
Yes I got these cups long time back. I too saw, I haven't tried that corn kernel separator, curious too :)

I have bought the measurement set from Amazon - but somehow when I try Pancake - there is something wrong - 1 cup Flour needs how much Baking Powder ? some site says - 1 TBSP, some 2 TSP. Please advice. Mousumi Chatterjee
ReplyDeleteTake a look how much ml of liquid your cup holds and compare it with the recipe, it would help. 2 tsp of baking powder is enough according to me.
DeleteHi, A small doubt. Wherever 1 cup rice is mention, does it refer to 240 grams or 180 gms of rice. As I read it in one site that based on density ml to gms scaling varies and 1 cup - 240 ml of water = 180 gms of rice. Kindly clarify the scaling followed in your recipe. Do u follow any density proportion ?
ReplyDeleteHi, I have a small doubt about scaling. I read in one of the website that 1 cup = 240 ml water = 190 gms rice. Ml to gms scaling varies based on density. Do you follow such density proportion in all your recipe ? I cup of rice in your recipe means how may gms you will take? Tia..
ReplyDeleteHi Sangeeta, I think no need to worry too much about density and all those things. If me and you have a cup measuring 240 ml liquid both will hold the same amount of ingredient almost same. And I always measure loosely unless otherwise I specify tightly packed or heaped. This is an easy way of measuring ingredients.
DeleteCan we use rice powder using parboiled rice. Plz give reply.
ReplyDeleteIt smells bit different, so better to use raw rice.
